Bottom-ranked KTP-Basket managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Friday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Lapuan Korikobrat 92-75. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that KTP-Basket is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game was mostly controlled by KTP-Basket. Lapuan Korikobrat managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KTP-Basket made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. KTP-Basket had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Kenneth Simms (206-86, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) produced 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Puerto Rican-American forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St.) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lapuan Korikobrat's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. KTP-Basket (2-6) moved-up to ninth place. Lapuan Korikobrat lost fourth consecutive game. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
