Regular Season Round 3: Lille - Poitiers 78-68

Not a big story in a game when Poitiers (1-2) was defeated on the road by Lille Metropole (3-0) 78-68 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Lille Metropole. Poitiers managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was naturalized Chadian forward Mael Lebrun (198-91) who scored 17 points. Center Nicolas Taccoen (204-86) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) who recorded 20 points and American-Dominican guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) added 15 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lille Metropole will meet Quimper UJAP (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Poitiers will play against JA Vichy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
