Perth Lynx's home win over 5th ranked Dandenong Rangers 88-78 was very exciting. Perth Lynx made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Samantha Whitcomb (178-88, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Stephanie Cumming-Blicavs (178-90) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Sara Blicavs (188-93) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Perth Lynx and four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Perth Lynx (2-4) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Dandenong Rangers keep the fifth position with three games lost. Perth Lynx will face higher ranked Townsville Fire (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dandenong Rangers will play against Boomers in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
