Regular Season Round 7: Pogon Prudnik - Slask Wroclaw 69-74

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Slask and 11th ranked Pogon Prudnik had identical 2-4 record. But Pogon Prudnik was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Wroclaw 74-69 on Saturday night. Slask made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 15 points. Swingman Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (195-85) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 20 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-87) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Pogon Prudnik in the defeat. Pogon Prudnik's coach Maciej Maciejewski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Slask (3-4) moved-up to eleventh place. Pogon Prudnik lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Kotwica. Slask will meet at home Kotwica (#12) in the next round. Pogon Prudnik will play against Enea Astoria in Bydgoszcz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
