Regular Season Round 5: GDKO Bizkaia - Segle XXI 70-46

Bottom-ranked Segle XXI (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to second ranked GDKO Bizkaia (4-1) 70-46 on Saturday evening. GDKO Bizkaia dominated on the defensive end, holding Segle XXI to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Segle XXI's 18. GDKO Bizkaia forced 20 Segle XXI turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They maintain second place in Group A with 4-1 record behind leader Gran Canaria, which they share with Lima-Horta and Aros Patatas. Segle XXI lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. GDKO Bizkaia will face Oviedo (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Segle XXI will play against ADBA and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
