Very predictable result when second ranked Waregem (6-2) beat at home 7th ranked Ninane (4-5) 82-74 on Saturday. Swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and center Bart-Willy Samaey (199-87) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. Waregem's coach Olivier Foucart used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Romain Fassotte (190-91) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Yannick Moray (199-91) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Ninane players scored in double figures. Waregem maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader Spirou B, which they share with Gembo BBC and Oxaco. Loser Ninane dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Waregem will meet at home Giants B (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ninane will play against Gistel Oostende (#12) and hope to secure a win.
