Regular Season Round 4: Louaize - Beirut Club 60-66

Beirut Club can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Zouk, where they defeated Louaize (0-3) 66-60. It looked good early as Louaize took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Beirut Club had a 19-10 second period charge getting the lead and Louaize was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-66. Beirut Club dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Louaize's 18. They outrebounded Louaize 41-30 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Chris Crawford (193-92, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Bassel Bawji (203-89, college: Tulsa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jimmy Salem (190-95) added 17 points in the effort for Louaize. Despite that victory Beirut Club went down to seventh position due to points difference, which they share with CS Antonins. It was Louaize's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Beirut Club will play against higher ranked Byblos (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Louaize will play against Sagesse in Beirut and hopes to get finally their first victory.
