Regular Season Round 5: Sestu - Capo d'Orlando 91-65

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Capo d'Orlando (3-2) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Sestu (3-2) 91-65 on Saturday. Sestu dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Capo d'Orlando's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Capo d'Orlando's players. The best player for the winners was swingman Romeo Trionfo (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 18 points and 5 assists. Point guard Mauro Graviano (184-89) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Sestu players scored in double figures. Jacopo Pozzi (201-87) produced 18 points and point guard Roberto Marinello (179-91) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sestu moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Capo d'Orlando. Sestu will face Battipaglia (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Capo d'Orlando will play against Palestrina (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
