The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Universitas (2-1) in Split on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Gorica (3-0) 93-75. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Gorica looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Universitas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Ivan Majcunic (193-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Ljubo Prgomet (195-84) helped adding 21 points. Four Gorica players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Ivan Omrcen (187-99) with 24 points and guard Bruno Rebic (186-99) scored 7 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gorica is looking forward to face Sanac (#3) in Karlovac in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Universitas will play on the road against Bosco in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
