The game in Rodou was also quite interesting. 5th ranked AEK (2-2) played at the court of sixth ranked Kolossos HH (3-1). Kolossos HH managed to secure a 4-point victory 82-78 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 22-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Kolossos HH dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to AEK's 20. They outrebounded AEK 34-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. AEK was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 steals. Croatian guard Toni Prostran (182-91) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) replied with 18 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 17 points in the effort for AEK. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kolossos HH moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser AEK dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Kolossos HH will face Lavrio (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AEK will play against the league's second-placed Koroivos (#2) and hope to win that game.
