Regular Season Round 3: Nancy - Saint-Chamond 85-81

Sluc Nancy used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Saint Chamond 85-81 on Saturday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Saint Chamond won third quarter 27-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sluc Nancy looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-90, college: Murray St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: Grand Canyon) chipped in 17 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) who recorded 19 points and 5 assists and Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Sluc Nancy and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy will meet Provence Basket (#6) in the next round. Saint Chamond will play against ALM Evreux (#17) and hope to win that game.
