Regular Season Round 5: Roma Luiss - Barcellona 79-60

Round 5 in Serie B means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Roma where host Roma Luiss (5-0) crushed league's leader Basket Barcellona (4-1) 79-60 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the top position in B. Roma Luiss outrebounded Basket Barcellona 43-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Basket Barcellona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Leonardo Marcon (190-95) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Basket Barcellona will play next round against Cassino trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Roma Luiss will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Roma S.Azzurra. It will be extra interesting game as Roma S.Azzurra is their local rival from Roma.
