Regular Season Round 10: Iwate Big Bulls - Shinshu BW 51-85

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (2-8) were smashed at home by second ranked Shinshu BW (7-3) 85-51 on Saturday. Shinshu BW had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Washburn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and center Jalen McGaughy (208, college: Dillard) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW keeps a position of league leader. Iwate Big Bulls lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against the league's leader Shinshu BW (#1) and hope to win that game.
