LNB top team - Guaros 2 (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Metropolitanos (5-7) in Barquisimeto 93-75. They outrebounded Metropolitanos 40-29 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guaros 2 shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of international center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and international Nestor Colmenares (203-87, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) who added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) responded with 16 points and the former international center Alejandro Barrios (204-79) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Guaros 2 have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Newly promoted Metropolitanos keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Guaros 2 will face league's second-placed Cangrejeros in Maturin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
