Regular Season Round 10: Fukuoka Rizing - Aomori Watts 70-69

Sixth-ranked Aomori Watts (1-10) were very close to win a game against first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-1) on Saturday. Fukuoka Rizing managed to secure only one-point victory 70-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Fukuoka Rizing outrebounded Aomori Watts 39-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. International center Pape Faye (200-87) contributed with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Fukuoka Rizing's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Aomori Watts. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 10-1 record. Aomori Watts at the other side keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
