Regular Season Round 5: Faenza - Bologna 67-78

Serie A2 top team - Bologna (5-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Faenza (2-3) 78-67. Bologna forced 19 Faenza turnovers. The former international point guard Raelin DAlie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Alessandra Tava (183-91) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Licia Schwienbacher (170-95) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Faenza. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Faenza's coach Cristina Bassi tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bologna maintains first place in A2 with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Faenza dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Bologna will face Civitanova (#6) in Civitanova Marche in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Faenza will play at home against Campobasso (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
