The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked IT Carlow's (1-4) road loss to sixth ranked 11890 Killester (2-2) 61-87 on Saturday. 11890 Killester forced 20 IT Carlow turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. 11890 Killester looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. IT Carlow lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with four games lost. 11890 Killester will meet at home higher ranked WIT Wildcats (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. IT Carlow will play against Brunell (#4) in Cork and hope to win that game.
