The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Amicale (6-1) on the court of fourth ranked Contern on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Contern 74-67. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Amicale. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Rachel Howard (178-95, college: USF) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Brittany Hodges (185-93, college: Furman) helped adding 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side guard Erica Morrow (172-89, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) responded with 26 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward Jasmine Joyner (188-95, college: Chattanooga) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds. Contern (5-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Musel Pikes and T71 Dudelange. Defending champion Amicale still keeps top position with one game lost. Contern is looking forward to face Sparta (#9) in Bertrange in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Amicale will play on the road against Etzella (#7) in Ettelbruck and is hoping to win this game.
