The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Grodno: Olimpia (#3) and Victoria (#7). Victoria was smashed at home by 48 points 61-109 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 30. Olimpia forced 34 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 53-37 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Victoria's players. It was a good game for forward Ekaterina Karpuk (180-99) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Arina Masko (175-99) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Five Olimpia players scored in double figures. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and center Anastasiya Serchenya (182-0) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Victoria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia (3-0) moved-up to second place, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Olimpia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
