Regular Season Round 7: Fujitsu RW - Toyota A. 64-54

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Toyota A. (5-2) against fifth ranked Fujitsu RW (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Toyota A. was defeated by Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki 64-54. It looked good early as Toyota A. took a 13-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fujitsu RW took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 10 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toyota A. to just 4 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. International point guard Rui Machida (161-93) helped adding 8 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side the former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) responded with 14 points and guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fujitsu RW moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Toyota A. Fujitsu RW will again play against Toyota A. (#5) in Nagoya in the next round. Toyota A. will have a break next round.
