There was no surprise when 14th ranked Cagliari CUS (1-4) was outleveled at home by tenth ranked Milano (3-2) 67-39 on Saturday. Milano dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari CUS's 32. Milano forced 31 Cagliari CUS turnovers. Forward Martina Picotti (184-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Valentina Grassia (186-98) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Milano's coach Ugo Pinotti felt very confident using 10 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Eugenia Caldaro (178-96) answered with 12 points and Bosnian power forward Natasa Tomasovic (185-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cagliari CUS. Milano moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Cagliari CUS dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost.
