Regular Season Round 4: Hawks - Kings 94-99

The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Kings' (2-4) road victory over 7th ranked Illawarra Hawks (1-5) 99-94 on Sunday evening. Kings forced 23 Illawarra Hawks turnovers. Strangely Illawarra Hawks outrebounded Kings 45-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) fired 21 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Andrew-James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Illawarra Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kings moved-up to seventh place. Illawarra Hawks at the other side dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. Kings are looking forward to face league's second-placed Perth Wildcats on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Illawarra Hawks will play against Bullets (#5) in Brisbane and are hoping to win this game.
