Regular Season Round 11: Hokkaido L. - Tochigi Brex 92-67

Date: October 29, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Hokkaido L. (7-4) crushed 6th ranked Tochigi Brex (3-8) in Saporro 92-67 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Hokkaido L. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Greg Whittington (203-93, college: Rutgers) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. His fellow American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tochigi Brex. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hokkaido L. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending champion Tochigi Brex keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Hokkaido L. will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tochigi Brex will play at home against the league's second-placed Chiba Jets (#2) and hope to win that game.
