Regular Season Round 4: Aris - Olympiacos 55-80
Date: October 29, 2017
Another interesting game for Olympiacos (3-1) which played in Thessaloniki against 5th ranked Aris (2-2). Sixth ranked Olympiacos crushed hosts 80-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aris. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Aris was better in third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Dimitrios Agravanis (208-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds and international forward Ioannis Papapetrou (203-94, college: Texas) who added 11 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Michalis Tsairelis (206-88) responded with 11 points and the former international forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos (202-84) scored 8 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Aris at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Olympiacos will play against Cretan Kings (#11) in Rethymno in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aris' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena PAOK.
