Everything could happen in Barcelona at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Arxil Pontevedra and 9th ranked Joventut LC had identical 2-2 record. But Joventut LC was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Pontevedra 74-63 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-63. Arxil Pontevedra looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Chilean power forward Narlyn Mosquera stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Maria Lago (-92) chipped in 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Nerea Garmendia responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Eliana Soriano scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Joventut LC's coach Sergio Manzano tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Arxil Pontevedra (3-2) moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams. Joventut LC at the other side keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Arxil Pontevedra will face league's second-placed Aros Patatas in Leon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joventut LC will play on the road against Cortegada (#8) in Vilagarcia Arousa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
