Regular Season Round 4: Ermis Agias - Arkadikos 81-79

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Ermis Agias (2-2) edged at home bottom-ranked Arkadikos (0-4) 81-79 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Arkadikos was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Ermis Agias, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Dimitris Lolas (203-86) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Giannis Sinnis (200-89) added 15 points in the effort for Arkadikos. Five Ermis Agias and four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Arkadikos' coach Tzimis Koustenis let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ermis Agias moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Loser Arkadikos still closes the standings with four games lost. Ermis Agias will face league's leader Peristeri GS in Athens in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Arkadikos will play against Karditsas (#14) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
