There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Forssan Koripojat (2-3) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Oulun NMKY (2-4) 103-78 on Sunday. The game without a history. Oulun NMKY led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Forssan Koripojat's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Micah Dunhour (198-93, college: CS East Bay) who scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Jack Pasquini (203-93, college: CS East Bay) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Five Oulun NMKY players scored in double figures. American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) produced a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Aku Haikonen (201-96) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Oulun NMKY moved-up to eighth place in Division. Loser Forssan Koripojat keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Oulun NMKY will have a break next round.
