Regular Season Round 7: Basket Esch - T71 100-85

An interesting game for Basket Esch (6-1) which hosted in Esch 4th placed T71 (4-3). First ranked Basket Esch had an easy win 100-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of T71. Basket Esch dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to T71's 42. It was a great shooting night for Basket Esch especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for American swingman Jordan Hicks (201-90, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Court Side) helped adding 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Basket Esch players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Cory Johnson (202-88, college: Valparaiso) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Basket Esch have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. T71 at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Musel Pikes. Basket Esch will play against Musel Pikes (#4) in Stadrbredimus in the next round. T71 will play at home against Residence and hopes to get back on the winning track.
