Undefeated Kangoeroes (7-1) recorded its first loss in Sint Katelijne. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Sint Kateline Waver (7-1) 70-62. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kangoeroes. The winners were led by center Becky Massey (186-0) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Laure Resimont (185-98) supported her with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds by American-Cameroonian center Brittany Starling (183-94, college: USC Upstate) did not help to save the game for Kangoeroes. Jolien Goyvaerts (172-94) added 12 points and 4 assists for the guests. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Sint Kateline Waver moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Kangoeroes. Sint Kateline Waver will play against Declercq Stortbeton (#5) in Waregem in the next round. Kangoeroes will play at home against the league's leader Castors Braine and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
