Regular Season Round 8: Toyota A. - Fujitsu RW 72-66

The most important game in the last round took place in Nagoya between third ranked Fujitsu RW (5-3) and fifth ranked Toyota A. (6-2) on Sunday night. Fujitsu RW was defeated by Toyota A. in a tough game on the road 66-72. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Fujitsu RW trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-72 at the end of the game. Toyota A. made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Mori Binge (180-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and point guard Yasuma Shiori (160-94) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Megumi Shinohara (184-91) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and international swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A. moved-up to second place, which they share with Mitsubishi K. Fujitsu RW at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Chanson V-M and Denso Iris.
