Regular Season Round 5: BC Lulea - Boras 79-87

Date: October 30, 2017
An interesting game where Boras Basket (#3) beat host BC Lulea (#2) 87-79 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Lulea. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-79. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boras Basket made 7 blocks. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard-IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) stepped up and scored 26 points and 8 assists for the winners and Croatian forward Marin Mornar (205-93, college: Loyola Mary) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) responded with 27 points and American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Boras Basket (4-1) moved-up to second place. Defending champion BC Lulea dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Boras Basket will meet at home Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) in the next round. BC Lulea will play against KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
