There was no surprise in Riga where bottom-ranked Ogre/Kumho Tyre (0-6) was defeated by third ranked VEF skola (4-2) 85-72 on Tuesday. VEF skola forced 19 Ogre/Kumho Tyre turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Francis-Gustavs Lacis (200-99) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Nikolajs Zotovs (184-98) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Davids Atelbauers (182-99) produced 14 points and 7 assists and swingman Sandris Jekabsons (200-81) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests.
