The game in Danang was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Saigon Heat (9-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Danang Dragons (2-12). Saigon Heat defeated Danang Dragons 79-64. Saigon Heat dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Danang Dragons' 36. They outrebounded Danang Dragons 51-36 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saigon Heat players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Danang Dragons' players. It was an exceptional evening for American center Darius Lewis (211-94, college: Duquesne) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 21 rebounds and 6 blocks. The former international point guard Huynh-Hai Nguyen (174-87) accounted for 22 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American point guard Horace Nguyen (178, college: Bristol) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Rudolphe Joly (208-92, college: Sheridan JC) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Danang Dragons in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saigon Heat maintains second place with 9-5 record having just two points less than leader Thang Long W. Danang Dragons lost third consecutive game. Defending champion stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Saigon Heat will play against league's leader Thang Long W. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Danang Dragons will play against Hanoi B. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
