Regular Season Round 4: Tadamon - Champville 67-80
Date: October 31, 2017
Bottom-ranked Tadamon (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-67 loss to top-ranked Champville (4-0) in Zouk on Tuesday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 42-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Champville looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 assists and the former international swingman Elias Rustom (197-87) who added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Champville's coach Ghassan Sarkis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 23 points and 4 assists. Champville have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Riyadi. Loser Tadamon still closes the standings with four games lost. Champville will meet at home league's leader Al Riyadi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tadamon will play against Al Moutahed (#3) in Tripoli and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
