Regular Season Round 3: Hapoel Migd.H. - Elitzur Yavne 79-86

There was a small surprise when Elitzur Yavne (1-2) beat Hapoel Migd.H. (1-2) in Tarshicha 86-79 on Tuesday. Elitzur Yavne dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Migd.H.'s 38 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Elitzur Yavne had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Adom Jacko (203-94, college: Loyola Mary) accounted for 27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winning side. Arad Harari (196-94, agency: Dray Basketball Agency) came up with 27 points and American forward Taylor Johns (201-94, college: Cal-Riverside, agency: 3Eye) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Migd.H. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Elitzur Yavne will meet at home Ironi Kiryat Ata (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hap.Haifa (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
