Regular Season Round 5: Aaguacateros - Mineros 74-54

Date: November 1, 2017
The game with biggest result difference took place in Michoacan. Local Aaguacateros (3-2) outscored 6th ranked Mineros (2-3) 74-54 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mineros. They outrebounded Mineros 42-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Puerto Rican Christopher Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) chipped in 17 points. Four Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. American Darius Rice (208-82, college: Miami, FL, agency: Aspire Sports) produced 19 points and the other American import guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aaguacateros moved-up to third place, which they share with Soles and Capitanes. Newly promoted Mineros dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Aaguacateros will face again Mineros (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
