Regular Season Round 8: Nova Ves - Inter Bratislava 46-106

SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (7-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Nova Ves (2-6) 106-46. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 26 and made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Inter Bratislava forced 20 Nova Ves turnovers and outrebounded them 48-27 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Nova Ves' players. The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Matej Majercak (183-99) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Nova Ves. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Levice. Nova Ves lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Inter Bratislava's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Levice at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Iskra Svit (#4) and hope to win that game.
