Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked LTC Sangiorg. and 12th ranked Oleggio had identical 2-3 record. But Oleggio was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from San Giorgio 72-65 on Wednesday night. LTC Sangiorg. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Oleggio was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Andrea Tassinari (188-96, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. Forward Sebastiano Bianchi (195-92) contributed with 21 points for the winners. LTC Sangiorg.'s coach Daniele Quilici used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and center Stefano Colombo (200-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Oleggio. Four Oleggio players scored in double figures. LTC Sangiorg. (3-3) moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Oleggio dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. LTC Sangiorg. will face Alba (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oleggio will play against Montecatiniterme (#6) and hope to win that game.
