Regular Season Round 2: Qingdao E. - Shanxi BD 121-140

Eagles (1-1) recorded a loss in Qingdao. Hosts were rolled over by Brave Dragons (1-1) 140-121. Brave Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Eagles' players. Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) notched a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Brandon Jennings (185-89) supported him with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Even 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists by American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) did not help to save the game for Eagles. His fellow American import forward Terrence Jones (206-92, college: Kentucky) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Five Brave Dragons and four Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
