Regular Season Round 6: Alba - Piombino 53-81

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Piombino (4-2) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Alba (0-6) 81-53 on Thursday. It was a good game for swingman Camillo Bianchi (194-94) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Edoardo Fontana (193-98) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Piombino players scored in double figures. Piombino's coach Marco Andreazza felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Paolo Gallo (200-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Marco Negro (198-93) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Alba. Piombino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Alba still closes the standings with six games lost. Piombino will face league's second-placed Firenze All Foods on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Alba will play against LTC Sangiorg. (#11) in San Giorgio and hopes to get finally their first victory.
