Regular Season Round 6: Jamtland - BC Lulea 70-90

Very important is a home loss of third ranked KFUM Jamtland (3-2) against fourth ranked BC Lulea (4-2) on Friday night. Host KFUM Jamtland was crushed by BC Lulea in Ostersund 90-70. BC Lulea had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Preston Purifoy (198-92, college: UAB) with 21 points and his fellow American import center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place. KFUM Jamtland at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. BC Lulea will play against Nassjo (#7) at home in the next round. KFUM Jamtland will play against the league's second-placed Boras Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
