Regular Season Round 7: Impuls BGUIR - Tsmoki-Minsk 45-91

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#3) and Impuls BGUIR (#5). Impuls BGUIR was crushed at home by 46 points 45-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 26. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 27 Impuls BGUIR turnovers and outrebounded them 44-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Andrei Rohazenka (183-97) helped adding 14 points. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Vadzim Stubeda (205-0) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds and Genadziy Zahar (200-92) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion (7-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with COR-Borisfen and Grodno-93. Impuls BGUIR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Tsmoki II. Tsmoki-Minsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Impuls BGUIR's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face again at home their local rival from Minsk Tsmoki-Minsk.
