Basketligan top team - Sodertalje Kings (5-0) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Uppsala Basket (1-5) 85-77. Sodertalje Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Uppsala Basket's 44. They outrebounded Uppsala Basket 40-18 including a 28-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Aaron Anderson (200-91, college: Kennesaw St.) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and international center Nicholas Spires (210-94) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 17 points and 9 rebounds. Uppsala Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sodertalje Kings have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Uppsala Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Nassjo. Sodertalje Kings will meet Umea (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Uppsala Basket will play against Norrkoping Dolphins and hope to win that game.
