A very interesting game took place in Logrono. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 15th ranked Cocinas.com (2-5) to fourth ranked Melilla Baloncesto (5-2) 73-71 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Cocinas.com was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 25-20 charge of Melilla Baloncesto, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-Bosnian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Pablo Almazan (202-89) contributed with 12 points for the winners. American guard Tre Coggins (190, college: CS Fullerton) answered with 22 points and point guard Erik Quintela (184-91) added 4 points, 6 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Cocinas.com. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Melilla Baloncesto maintains fourth place with 5-2 record. Cocinas.com lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. Melilla Baloncesto's next round opponent will be Sammic ISB (#8) in Azpeitia. Cocinas.com will play on the road against Castello (#15) in Castellon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
