Regular Season Round 4: Aix-Maurienne - Rouen 86-96

SPO Rouen can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (1-3) on the road game in Aix-les-Bains 96-86. SPO Rouen made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) supported him with 25 points and 5 rebounds. SPO Rouen's coach Alexandre Menard allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Devin Sweetney (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA) did not help to save the game for Aix-Maurienne. American-British point guard Akeem Williams (178-91, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 21 points and 7 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SPO Rouen left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aix-Maurienne.
