Regular Season Round 7: Prinemanye - GOCOR-Sozh 73-51

The game in Grodno supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed GOCOR-Sozh (4-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Prinemanye (3-4). Prinemanye smashed GOCOR-Sozh 73-51 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GOCOR-Sozh. The game was mostly controlled by Prinemanye. GOCOR-Sozh was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding GOCOR-Sozh to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded GOCOR-Sozh 51-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Ukrainian guard Anatoli Konev (192-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Aleksey Vasilenko (186-99) helped adding 8 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Aleksandr Kopacev (203-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Tsimafei Viaroukin (186-93) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Prinemanye moved-up to fifth place. GOCOR-Sozh at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Prinemanye will face again higher ranked GOCOR-Sozh (#4) in Gomel in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
