Regular Season Round 6: Toyoda Gosei - Aisin AW 82-67

There was a small surprise in Aichi where ninth ranked Toyoda Gosei (1-1) defeated 7th ranked Aisin AW (1-1) 82-67 on Saturday. Toyoda Gosei looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Aisin AW's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import center Matthew Kendrick (215-90, college: St.Leo) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Toyoda Gosei's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) who recorded 16 points and guard Ikishima Ikejima (188-94) added 12 points respectively. Toyoda Gosei left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aisin AW. Toyoda Gosei will face league's leader Saitama Broncos on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
