No shocking result in a game in Borgerhout where fourth ranked Gembo BBC (7-2) smashed 7th ranked Neufchateau (4-5) 113-81 on Saturday. Gembo BBC dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Neufchateau's 50 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Neufchateau was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Anthony Vermeersch (202-90) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Alexandre Billot (192-88) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Alexis Pierre (178-92) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gembo BBC have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Waregem and Oxaco. Newly promoted Neufchateau dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Gembo BBC will face Ninane (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neufchateau will play against the league's leader Waregem and hope to win that game.
