An interesting game for Artego Bydg. (8-0) which hosted in Bydgoszcz 4th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (4-3). Top-ranked Artego Bydg. had an easy win 80-62. The game was mostly controlled by Artego Bydg.. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski managed to win second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International point guard Julie McBride (163-82, college: Syracuse) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Denesha Stallworth (191-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. International Aleksandra Pawlak (189-84, agency: Promotex) replied with 17 points and international power forward Magdalena Szajtauer (190-95, agency: Promotex) added 6 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Artego Bydg. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Energa Torun. Artego Bydg. are looking forward to face JAS FBG (#10) in Sosnowiec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play at home against the league's second-placed Wisla Krakow (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
