Very important is a road loss of third ranked Telge (4-2) against tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (1-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Telge was defeated by KFUM Uppsala in Uppsala 95-79. KFUM Uppsala dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Telge's 38. They outrebounded Telge 41-30 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. KFUM Uppsala players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Telge's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Heather Butler (165-90, college: Tenn-Martin) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Jalen OBannon (185-94, college: E.Kentucky) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. Guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St., agency: ProDep Management) added 27 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Telge. KFUM Uppsala left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with AIK Basket. Telge at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Alvik Basket. KFUM Uppsala will play against higher ranked Mark (#8) in Kinna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Telge will play at home against Visby Ladies (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
